We begin by looking, not assuming.
Each service at Chronovale follows the same underlying logic: observation first, agreement second, work third. The intake process — whether a brief consultation or a full written condition report — shapes everything that follows.
We do not apply a standard service to every watch. The assessment informs the recommendation, and the recommendation is discussed with the owner before it becomes a plan.
Intake & Inspection
The watch is received and examined. Initial findings are noted and discussed with the owner.
Scope Agreement
A clear written scope and price is agreed. No work begins without confirmation from the owner.
Considered Work
The agreed service is carried out at the pace the work requires. The owner is contacted if anything changes.
Return & Record
The watch is returned with documentation and a post-service follow-up arranged within a few weeks.
SERVICE ONE
Condition Report & Care Plan
A calm, written assessment of a watch's current state with a suggested plan of care. Covers visual inspection, running checks, and clear notes. Suited to owners weighing whether and when to service. No work is committed at this stage — the report simply informs the decision.

SERVICE TWO
Refinish & Reseal Package
A combined service easing surface marks and renewing seals for a tidy, wearable result. Covers gentle refinishing, gasket renewal, and a water-resistance check. Ideal for everyday pieces that look tired but run well. The approach is agreed before work begins.

SERVICE THREE
Collector Heritage Overhaul
A patient, originality-led overhaul for collector pieces, fully documented from start to finish. Covers sympathetic sourcing, careful handling, and a detailed record. Best for watches of lasting value. All replaced parts are returned with a condition summary.

All watches in our care are covered by workshop insurance from intake through to collection.
Owner Involvement
You are contacted before any change in scope. Decisions remain with the owner, not the workshop.
Post-Service Follow-Up
We check in with owners after service. Concerns raised within a reasonable period are addressed without additional charge.
Data Privacy
Client and watch information is handled with care. We do not share owner details with third parties.
Realistic Timelines
We give honest estimates and update owners at meaningful milestones. We do not rush work to meet an arbitrary date.
